Developing the Muscles of the Chest

Back to the Muscle Group

*If a lower cable cross isn’t

available at your local gym

you can use lighter dumbbells,

but it will have an equal effect

on your shoulders.

1)      Start by grasping each

cable grip in each hand

with your palms facing

upwards.

 

2)      Begin by pressing upwards

and outwards while turning

your palms down towards the

end of the movement.

 

3)      Once you’ve reached a

level equal to the middle of

your chest you’ve completed

one repetition.

 

4)      Try to focus the tension onto

your pectoral muscles to better isolate them, and to avoid using your shoulders.
